Some of the Ayoré Christians requested that we meet with the newly elected political leaders since some of them are not from this area and we had never met them. Yesterday nine Ayoré, including some of our Christian friends, came for lunch. One of the men who came is the leader of CANOB, the Ayoré branch of the national Indian organization. Two others who came are the newly elected representatives of the Ayoré in congress and in the state legislature. Another man is the current government representative in yet another area. We told them we had invited them to congratulate them and to pray God's blessing and wisdom on them. They talked among themselves quite a bit in Ayoré and then one of them said that they had wanted to come bc they had heard from the local Ayoré about the work that SAM has been doing and that they want our input in decisions that are made, especially pertaining to the health program. This is very exciting bc it may mean that we will finally be able to help channel resources and programs in a God glorifying way. Please pray that God might give Placido wisdom as he deals with these men and women. We do not want to be political, but have a Godly influence as doors are opened. Our next meeting is on the 27th of this month with the Ayoré and some other organizations that we are going to call in, as well.
Yesterday we were also able to work some more on the recordings that Aimee and Andrew did of traditional Ayoré singing. The recording was very well received by those who heard it, and there were some interesting observations made regarding the content of the songs. A big thank you to Andrew and Aimee. We're not dropping the ball, guys!

So glad the recordings were well received. Glad you were able to get more info and look forward to hearing about the observations. Everyday God confirms what a huge spiritual battle is involved in the area of music. Jasi mentioned the other day that she realizes Satan's desire is to obliterate the existence of God-glorifying indigenous music. We need to pray, pray, pray!
